Welcome to the MIG-RATS homepage! The MIG-RATS provide resources and support to the ongoing research activities of the Medicaid Infrastructure Grants (MIGs). The central feature of the MIGs is to support employment for people with disabilities. Our research efforts focus on employment, disability, and related services. This website is designed to help you find useful research reports and resources, learn about current MIG-RATS activities and initiatives, and connect with fellow MIG reseachers.
2012 MIG and Buy-In States
What's New.... MIG states will have one last opportunity to submit requests for customized analyses from the integrated data set of Medicaid Buy-In participants. Proposals for analyses are due by Friday, May 4. More information can be found in the Activities - Integrated Data section of the website and in the MIG-RATS Workspace.
Researchers in Washington state have published an evaluation of the Medicaid Buy-In. The article can be accessed through the journal website, or contact Anne Reither for more information.
The annual Disability Status Reports, using 2009 data, are now available. The Annual Disability Status Reports provide policy makers, disability advocates, reporters, and the public with a summary of the most recent demographic and economic statistics on the non-institutionalized population with disabilities. They contain information on the population size and disability prevalence for various demographic subpopulations, as well as statistics related to employment, earnings, and household income. Comparisons are made to people without disabilities and across disability types. Disability Status Reports and other statistics are available for each state, DC, and Puerto Rico at www.DisabilityStatistics.org.
